Preoperative Internal Examination
Through your general practitioner, please ensure the following is arranged:
- Complete laboratory tests as outlined on the FNUSA form
- ECG for patients over the age of 40
- Chest X-ray (heart and lungs) for patients over the age of 60
- Patients with other medical conditions must also undergo additional examinations according to the FNUSA preoperative checklist for surgeries under general anesthesia
All examinations must be no older than one month at the time of surgery.
Anesthesiology Consultation
To be completed at St. Anne’s University Hospital Brno:
- Schedule your consultation in advance, ideally 1–2 weeks before surgery, by calling: +420 543 182 595
- Bring a completed pre-anesthesia questionnaire and the results of your internal preoperative examination
MRI
Only if recommended by your physician.
Hospital admission is scheduled for one day prior to the planned operation.
All required forms will be provided by the nurse at your epilepsy outpatient clinic visit.
