This year, Brno hosted the 14th edition of the international EPODES Basic course.
EPODES 2025

In January 2025, Brno hosted the 14th ILAE EPODES Basic School of Epilepsy Surgery. This year’s course marked the beginning of a new three-year educational cycle, offering foundational training in epilepsy surgery.

Participants of the interactive course received valuable insights into the surgical treatment of epilepsy, including preoperative evaluation and diagnostics, criteria for selecting suitable surgical candidates, scalp and invasive EEG monitoring, and other essential topics related to pre-surgical preparation and surgical approaches.

Among the speakers from ten different countries were Professor Ivan Rektor, co-organizer of the EPODES course, and Professor Milan Brázdil.
