During the ceremony marking the 240th anniversary of the founding of St. Anne’s University Hospital in Brno, the results of the “Employee of the Year” poll were announced. In the “Scientist” category, Assoc. Prof. Irena Doležalová, M.D., Ph.D., who works at the First Department of Neurology at St. Anne’s University Hospital and the Faculty of Medicine at Masaryk University, took second place; she is a leading figure in the field of epileptology in Brno.
Throughout her professional career, Assoc. Prof. Doležalová has dedicated herself to the study of epilepsy and the analysis of EEG signals. Her professional and scientific work has significantly contributed to the advancement of diagnosis and treatment for patients with epilepsy and to the expansion of knowledge in this field.
This award, presented as part of the hospital’s major anniversary celebrations, recognizes her work, her scientific contributions, and her dedication to patients and students.
