Epileptologie – A New Publication by the Brno Epilepsy Center

Physicians from the Brno Epilepsy Center have introduced a new monographic publication titled Epileptologie.
Epileptologie – A New Publication by the Brno Epilepsy Center

The book Epileptologie was officially presented at the October Jiří Dolanský Days in Průhonice, a postgraduate epilepsy course, by the Brno Epilepsy Center team led by Prof. Milan Brázdil.

This publication offers the first comprehensive and structured overview of current knowledge in the field of epileptology in the Czech language. It provides clear and accessible information across a wide range of topics—from epidemiology, pathophysiology, phenomenology, and diagnostics to treatment approaches, as well as the social and gender-related aspects of epilepsy. While primarily intended for neurologists and epileptologists, the monograph is also designed as a practical learning resource for medical residents and a potential aid in undergraduate education.

The authors aim for Epileptologie to serve as a practical manual for all healthcare professionals—both medical and non-medical—who work with patients with epilepsy.

The book was published by Maxdorf and is available in Czech bookstores.

More information and a sample from the book are available here.
